Our Cabinet Refinishing Process
Our cabinet refinishing process starts by removing all of the existing finish. We do not just go over what is already there. We take your cabinets all the way down to clean, raw wood and start over. Whether we are painting cabinets or staining cabinets, we begin from the same place. This is how we achieve a durable, factory-grade finish.
All cabinet doors and drawers are removed and finished off-site in our shop for a cleaner, more controlled result.
Only the cabinet boxes and face frames are finished in place, which reduces the amount of time your kitchen is out of commission.
If any cabinet sides are not real wood, we install 1/8" real wood veneers.
We also replace any wood-look trim with solid wood trim for a higher quality, long-lasting finish.
This full refinishing process is ideal if you want the look of brand-new custom cabinets without the cost and mess of a full tear-out.
Our Cabinet Repainting Process
Our cabinet repainting process starts with a thorough, professional deep cleaning. Proper prep is the key to a long-lasting painted finish.
Degrease all cabinet surfaces using Simple Green to remove oils and residue.
Abrade all glossy surfaces with sandpaper to promote adhesion.
Remove all dust and debris with a chemical cleaning and detailed wipe-down.
Apply a specialty lacquer primer designed specifically for cabinets.
After primer dries, apply bondo, wood filler, and grain filler where needed for a smoother finish.
Top coat with a specialty cabinet finisher’s lacquer in your choice of matte or satin finish.
This process gives your kitchen cabinets a durable, professional, factory-style finish that will not peel like basic wall paint.
Professional-Grade Products and Protection
All counters, floors, walls, and ceilings are carefully covered in paper or plastic to protect your home.
We use industrial-grade cabinet lacquers, not “makeover paints” or gel stains.
Our goal is a clean, efficient cabinet transformation that looks like a brand-new custom install.

Converted from Old Traditional Dark Stain to Modern Black Island and White Painted Cabinets for and updated modern appearance. Using our Professional Cabinet Finishers Lacquer primer and topcoat system in a Matte Finish.
